Re: Error message at end of 1.4.3 installation
For the sake of clarification, does this mean you'll be issuing a new 1.4.3 release, or that this problem is so trivial it can wait until the next version?

Re: Update 1.4.3
I've always had problems using the installer under MacOS, but if you manually quit MFC and then run the installer/drag the new version to the Applications folder, everything should proceed correctly, at least that's my experience with MacOSs 10.6.8, 10.8.5, and 10.9.5.

Error message at end of 1.4.3 installation
Under Win7 64 bit, logged on as Administrator, I quit the running version of MFC (1.4.2) and then ran the installer for 1.4.3. Everything appeared to proceed correctly but then I got an error message at the end of the process. Clicking "OK" dismissed the message, and as I had left the &quo...

Re: 1.4.2 - no Controls visible after system restart
Build 10 works.
I installed, then rebooted the machine, and up it comes, Controls and all.
Thanks.

Re: 1.4.2 - no Controls visible after system restart
Bingo! That's done it.
Following a computer restart, MFC appears in the menu bar and when asked to show itself, displays the Controls.
Thanks for the tenacity.

Re: 1.4.2 - no Controls visible after system restart
Sorry, 'fraid not...
Same behaviour as before - following a computer restart, MFC dev8 appears in the menu bar, but when called, the controls are not visible until the window is resized.

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
No, it just happens on the Mac OS (10.8.5) side - Win7 has no such problem.
It's not overly onerous to adjust the window size to be able to see the controls - it was just rather disconcerting the first time it came up after installing 1.4.2. I'll live...

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
By the time I checked the forum, dev6 had been superseded by dev7, so I just tried that. No joy. Same behaviour as before - no controls visible until resizing the window. Pressing the "?", "Show Visible" came up with "Yes" even though the controls were not visible in th...

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
I'm afraid that, following a computer re-start, dev5 comes up with no Controls visible, provided that prior to the re-start, it had been opened and the window sized to its narrowest allowed width, then closed. Once opened, a small, manual widening of the window allows the Controls to peak through. F...

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
The Dev4 behaves strangely, but it does show the Controls column when it first is asked to appear following a computer restart. A small pop-up window appeared as well, with "visible: yes" in it. It then promptly quits entirely when asked to "Hide to menu bar". Following a compute...

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
I downloaded, installed and ran the dev build 3, and clicked on the "?" as you asked. How do I get the information it found, to you?

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
I'm afraid I have to agree with your other user. Things worked properly yesterday when I first installed the dev version, but today, it's back to its old behaviour of hiding the controls until I resize the window.

That's got it. See attached. (First image is Dev. version, second is 1.4.2.)
Thanks very much.

Re: Update from 1.41 to 1.42 not occurring
Don't use the auto-updater function when it pops up (choose "Remind me Later"). Download the latest version from the website, then quit MacsFanControl and replace it with the newer version.

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
Every time I "Show Macs Fan Control" after restarting my machine, it opens with the Controls invisible. I tried to move the divider while it was in this state, but it won't move - my guess is that the default window width is too narrow to allow the divider to move. Enlarging the whole wind...

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
The issue of the missing Controls reasserted itself today, until I re-sized the MFC window slightly. This was enough to position the (newly movable) divider between the left and right areas just enough that the Controls snapped back into visibility. This is on Mac OS 10.8.5. Two steps forward, one s...

Re: Update to 1.4.1 - no Controls available.
..., predictably, downloading the program from the website and using it to replace the one that was installed by the automatic update process fixed the issue, at least for now. I never seem to have much luck with the automatic update process, as I always seem to have to re-download and reinstall. On...

1.4.2 - no Controls visible after system restart
On my 2012 Mac Mini version 6.2, running OS 10.8.5, I find that I have nothing in the "Control" column to input my temperatures for activation. Of course, 1.4.0 worked just fine on this same machine. Macs Fan Control 1.4.1 Macmini6,2 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3615QM CPU @ 2.30GHz [105] GPU...

Re: Version 1.4.0 - doesn't work on Mac Mini 6.2 (Windows 7)
Sounds like a good idea, although (from my admittedly brief research into the topic) isn't that just what the CPU PECI does? Provide numerical output of the various sensors in the CPU, all in one bite-sized package?
